NOOK COLOR DRIVER INSTALL
I'm waiting anxiously for an easy way to install the Google Apps. It's not perfect yet but it is very good, and should continue to get better. If you've been thinking about getting this and love to tinker, I think you'll be very satisfied. However, most apps don't require su access. Note that I haven't technically 'rooted' this yet, as I haven't put the Superuser.apk file on there. (the latter is still playable, and strangely, is full screen on _some_ levels). I've tried the 'full screen fix' for the Galaxy Tab that supposedly works on this, but Assassin's Creed and The Inferno still don't go fullscreen. I think that something needs to be edited in the build.prop for them to install, but I haven't tried it. several apps refuse to install (Google Earth being an example). If anyone has the other version, or any Gameloft game demos, I'd love to try them - they don't seem to want my money when I tell them I have a Tab on Verizon). Supposedly the hardware is extremely similar to the Droid.
NOOK COLOR DRIVER APK
I've heard it works, so I probably need the APK specifically for the Moto Droid or Galaxy Tab. Dungeon Hunter (installed the version I got for my HTC Incredible when they gave it away this month, but it doesn't open.

Winamp (plays the 'really whips the llamas ass' clip just fine, haven't tried anything else). Rockplayer (loaded up a 500mb widescreen video file and it ran it beautifully) FTPServer (another means of transferring files to the device) Engadget (and fullscreen worked out of the box) doubleTwist (doesn't adjust to the screen res elegantly, but it seems to work) The important thing to note is that apps won't be listed until after rebooting! enabling installation of apps from the device requires you use adb to pull a sqllite db file, change an entry, and then use adb to push it back. I messed it up like this on my Win7 64-bit machine and did it correctly on a 32-bit machine. You can also find the device under "USB Devices" as a "USB Mass Storage Device" but installing the driver there did not work for me. This is the one you want to install the ADB driver on. The Nook should show up under "other devices" with a yellow exclamation.
NOOK COLOR DRIVER DRIVERS
getting the ADB composite drivers installed is a piece of cake if you're paying attention to what you're doing. I just deleted all partitions on the SD card with diskpart and then imaged the Nooter 0.2 image with Winimage. Some people reported problems but it went smoothly for me. I successfully created the microSD card to boot from using an internal SD reader on my laptop in Win7 64-bit with Winimage. it wasn't hard as long as you are comfortable with using the command line and messing with drivers. It's pretty light, but the lighter the better. There is some backlight bleeding around the edges but I don't usually notice. Touch sensitivity is quite good for the most part, though it's less sensitive around the edges of the screen, which can be annoying in a few apps. The screen is very bright (almost too bright) and looks good. Here are my impressions and experiences so far:
